Invite Me to Visit

A Welcome from Our Club President

In June 2018 I had the pleasure of joining with 25,651 Rotarians from around the world at Rotary’s annual convention in Toronto. Speakers included a princess (Princess Anne), 3 prime ministers and a former first lady (Laura Bush) plus a ton of exhibits, activities and many breakout sessions. At the convention, 2018-19 Rotary International President Barry Rassin laid out his vision for the future of the organization calling on leaders to work for a sustainable future and to inspire Rotarians and the community at large. “Be the Inspiration”

Barbara Worley

Personally, as the 2018-19 Wakefield Rotary president, I look forward to working with the members and board on projects such as in-meeting service activities, community activities, and international projects (End Polio Now). There is much to do on the local and international front to spread our inspiration to new members and spread our Rotarian resources and efforts to new causes and recipients.

Rotary is both international and local. Wakefield is fortunate to have an active and stellar Rotary club. Members are not exclusively Wakefield residents and there are flexible options for memberships. We meet at Brightview Senior Living, 21 Crescent St., Wakefield, on Tuesdays, 12:00 noon. Visit our welcoming and inspirational club!

Yours In Service,
Barbara Worley
