The Wakefield Rotary Club recently announced the election of its new officers and directors at its Annual Meeting. The club elects new leadership each year in accordance with its by-laws. The 2024-2025 Board of Directors include Margie Daniels, Joie Gerrish, Mike Sullivan, Jill McWilliam, Steve Skory, Glen Duffy (Immediate Past President) and Amy Luckiewicz (Past Presidents’ Representative). Suzanne Bowering will serve as Club Secretary, Barbara Worley as Club Treasurer and Frank Fiorentino as Sergeant-at-Arms. Kathy Boyle was elected Vice President/President-Elect and Wendy Maguire will serve as President for the 2024-2025 term.

President-Elect Wendy Maguire has most recently served as Program Chair and served on the Board of Directors. She has led the club’s environmental programming, one of Rotary’s Areas of Focus, including our No Mow May campaign and is currently researching the feasibility of a community pollinator garden. Maguire shared her excitement about leading the volunteer organization next year, “Right away, when I joined Rotary, I knew it was a good fit for me. I wanted to take actionable steps to make a difference, not just talk about it.” She added, “Rotary has given me that platform to serve and I can’t wait to help guide us in the future.”
The new leadership team will begin on July 1, 2024 and serve until June 30, 2025.
