Wakefield Interact Club

Interact is Rotary International’s service club for young people ages 12 to 18. Interact clubs are sponsored by individual Rotary clubs, which provide support and guidance, but they are self-governing and self-supporting. Club membership varies greatly. Our community-based club welcomes students who reside in Wakefield, no matter which school they attend.

Rotarians and Interact students work side-by-side to ring the Salvation Army bell.

During the year Interact students participate in many local events and projects including the Italian Festival, the student Care Closet, Amigos program, ringing the Salvation Army Bell and participating in the Polar Plunge for polio eradication. Students meet every other week at Wakefield High School to discuss upcoming projects, events and partnerships.

The Interact Advisor is Bridget Hagerty. The current student leaders are Ahmed Othman, Laila Atoui, and Riya Patel.
