Nick with Rotarians Amy Luckiewicz and George Livingstone

The Wakefield Rotary Club is pleased to announce that Nick McPherson has been inducted as the newest member of the service club. McPherson is a realtor with REMAX Partners in Andover. A native of Danvers, he resides in North Reading with his fiancé Casey Reilly. “I wanted to get involved, help people, and meet Rotarians. I’ve loved working with this club and all of its hands-on community projects,” McPherson noted. McPherson’s sponsor Amy Luckiewicz added, “Already, Nick has volunteered for projects that involve hands-on work. He has a great energy and has been a natural fit to our friendly club.” The Wakefield Rotary Club is one of the fastest growing Rotary clubs in the area with the addition of seven new members since July 1, 2016 (the start of the new Rotary year).

About Rotary International & Wakefield Rotary Club

Rotary is an organization of business and professional leaders united worldwide who provide humanitarian service, encourage high ethical standards in all vocations, and help build goodwill and peace in the world. There are 1.2 million Rotarians in 160 countries worldwide.  The first Rotary Club was founded in Chicago, Illinois in 1905 by an attorney named Paul Harris and several of his colleagues. The name “Rotary” was derived from the early practice of rotating meetings among each of the members’ offices. The Rotary motto is “Service above self”. The Wakefield Rotary Club meets each Tuesday at noon at Harrington’s Restaurant on Water Street.
